Invisalign and braces
Thanks to advancement in research and technology, we now have a range of different options that can get your teeth straighter – in as little as six months.
Invisalign is a virtually invisible treatment, using clear trays that you can remove (and hence very hygienic!) to effectively straighten your teeth. With Invisalign treatment, we are able to digitally plan and move your teeth in a safe and efficient manner.
A series of clear aligners with SMARTForce technology is then custom made for you to wear to gradually move them to the ideal position.
While there are a lot of other cheaper copycat concepts on the market, at Surry Hills Dental Centre, we choose to partner with Invisalign because of its proven and superior ClinCheck technology – allowing us better control over the movement of your teeth. You can be assured that your treatment is strategically planned and monitored by our highly trained doctor.
In more complicated cases, we sometimes utilize a combination of Invisalign and braces to achieve the optimum result.
What to expect
Once we have established what you like and dislike about your teeth, and checked that your teeth are healthy and ready to go, a set of photos, x-rays and 3d scan is taken for evaluation.
A 3d simulation (ClinCheck) of your current and new smile is designed. The position and movement of each and every single tooth is examined and checked to ensure treatment success.
We then invite you to view this 3d simulation if you wish, and discuss specific points relevant to your treatment success, to make sure we are all onboard prior to starting.
Once we receive your trays from Invisalign, you are given specific instructions on how to wear and care for your trays, and we monitor your progress by checking in every one or two months. We are there with you the whole way as your teeth get straighter and straighter!
